AA/K/AA/R/A is an architectural designer who specializes in computation and complex geometry, audiovisual artist, visual artist and musician. Trained in classical and jazz guitar, he moved through a variety of other genres before making a sharp pivot into the production of specific types of electronic music, and quickly became interested in dark/metallic techno, EBM, and electro. He occupies his time with a variety of obsessions, producing electro, small audiovisual animations, an everyday drawing series entitled +∅x.000, and a monthly techno/EBM/electro mix series entitled “Notes From the Void.”

“The thematic priority for any mix, piece of artwork, architectural idea, etc, has always been to be aggressively technical. This mix is hopefully a good example of that mode of operation, and that type of track. The cuts are mechanical, cartoonishly cold, and precisely computed, ranging from Gesamtkunstwerk-era Dopplereffekt (and the obligatory variety of other Donald aliases) to my personal favorite electro artist to date, Mikron- one of Dopplereffekt’s clearest, progressive, and sharpest descendants. Syncopation in electro is as synonymous as the machines that are infamous for programming it. The tracks chosen are exemplary works in syncopation and become outstanding in their ability to be aggressive and technical, yet insistent and clever.”
